How You Can Buck The System

It turns out that the products we use not only influence our lives but that of wildlife. Guest Lisa Archer, an activist and leader in the Friends of the Earth organization, enlightens the audience with truth about our influence on the products we use and how they impact the circle of life. Bees for instance, are profoundly affected by the chemicals that are spread in our pesticide ridden products. Understanding the ingredients in many of the brands we use is an important step in aiding the path of organic living. Support organic companies that are good for ourselves and the planet as well as ones that leave a better world for our kids.

What Can we Do to Make a Difference?

  • Go to Friends of the Earth’s website. Seek out more information.
  • Call congress.
  • Call EPA.
  • You can write to your local paper as well.
  • Tell the organic companies you’d love to take a stand and step up.
  • Victory gardens are a great way to save bees and shift towards organic and sustainable agriculture.

Get Back to the Basics

Demand that healthy food is a human right. Let members of Congress know we do not want these companies poisoning our children! Great change starts in our own homes and backyards. We can vote with our wallets. Choose health and push out positive actions. Be the change you want to see and create a solution-oriented life. Anger is not useful in these situations. Transform it into compassion and expand your realm of knowledge to others.
