Angela Hanscom is asking us to kick it old school. How? She wants us to let our kids play- I am really play outdoors and get dirty. The science is on her side. She argues that multidirectional random movement helps develop the nervous system and makes our kids better adjusted. Nature is contoured and that’s what we developed around. Now, kids are falling out of their seats in school and are generally more clumsy. Kids can’t play tag anymore because they have less control of their movements. They play video games and are robbed of the third dimension. Join me here for a very pleasant conversation with someone who’s helped kids get coordinated and balanced through her whole career.
